Shop owner Steven handed off his 300 sf wall and told me to paint something uplifting and vintage-inspired. Naturally, my thoughts led to sunshine, a Southern California staple. A large, friendly sun was paired with a positive message and Mary Blair/Small World style graphics to warm up a community that has provided me warmth in turn.
